CAPTAIN EASY Soldier of Fortune Volume 1

Captain Easy was the second comic strip created by comics pioneer Roy Crane. Culling Sunday pages from 1933-1935, Captain Easy adventures to a lost city, battles pirates, dives for sunken treasure and meets beautiful maidens. Influencing everyone from Chester Gould to Milton Caniff, Crane's dynamic strips set the template for the surge in adventure strips which Captain Easy inspired. These taut tales of action and suspense are some of Cranes best and rarest work, and this large volume is augmented with sketches from his personal sketchbook. Out of Print. Condition: Very Fine Minus. Light edge wear at the top of front cover.
